Adobe recently made available a free web development productivity tool call Shadow – which they are billing as ‘A tool that streamlines the preview process, making it easier to customize websites for mobile devices.’
The tool allows designers and developers to preview web pages on mobile devices by synchronising them with their desktop. Shadow is a GUI built on top of the open source weinre (Web Inspect Remote) which is technically difficult to implement and use, however, Shadow makes the configuration and installation easy, easy enough for designers.
Shadow is aimed at bolstering Adobe’s HTML 5 tool set and is part of the company’s move away from flash as it’s predominant web tool.
